Sex In Seattle

Episode 11: The Ultimate Dating Challenge
6/3/2005 - 6/25/2005

• Shari insists on going out on a date before she’ll go any further with Nathan.
• Colin runs into Tess at the bus stop and offers her a ride.
• Shari tells Chloe that if she’s planning on staying in Seattle, she’d better find a place of her own.
• Tess and Jenna take Elizabeth to Habitude Spa for her birthday gift. While there, Colin calls Tess up to see if she wants to catch a movie together. Jenna’s a bit taken aback at the fact that her ex has taken a sudden interest in hanging out with Tess.
• Shari has Kenneth over to sign the divorce papers. While there, he sees Nathan in nothing but pajama bottoms and realizes their marriage is truly over, so he finally signs and storms off.
• While at the spa, Elizabeth finds out from Jenna that Kenneth slept with Shari’s cousin. She realizes that Kenneth has obviously moved on with someone else, so becomes even more determined to make things work with Harold.
• Chloe runs into the gals at the spa and figures out from them that the man she thought was Shari’s husband Kenneth is really Nathan. She then sobs that Shari is kicking her out and she has no place to stay. Elizabeth and the gals offer to help Chloe out.
• Jenna and Adam go on their first official date – an exhibit at the Wing Luke Asian Museum. Jenna wonders if men and women really can just be friends and Adam’s theory is no. He believes that guys are only after one thing, so if they want to be friends with a woman, it’s usually because they want something more than friendship. He then confides in Jenna that he thinks of her as more than a friend. But his comments have only made her worry more about Tess and Colin hooking up.
• Harold takes Elizabeth out on their first official date – a cruise around Lake Union in his yacht. She learns more about his childhood and family – he’s the middle son of three and his family is incredibly competitive. His parents split their time between Bellevue and Taiwan and his father is a no-nonsense business man. He reveals a deeper side that draws Elizabeth to him.
• Nathan and Shari finally have their first date and it’s the worst date ever. They’re both trying so hard to make the date work, that they both fail miserably.
• Tess and Colin go to the movies and have a blast. They realize they have a lot in common and really enjoy each other’s company.
• Kenneth tries to pull himself off of Harold’s project, but Harold threatens that he’ll pull his entire account if Kenneth does. Harold’s father has insisted on a Chinese American architect and Harold needs to get the project done right. His father’s probably going to retire soon and the only chance he stands of competing with his brothers is to make sure his dad gets what he wants.
• George finally decides he’s ready to meet his internet gal and IM’s her to set up a date. Harold, pretending to be Elizabeth, agrees to meet, so that Harold can meet his competition.
• Negative tension builds between Shari and Nathan. He finally realizes he can’t take the pressure anymore and threatens to tell Chloe the truth. He and Shari have a fight and Nathan storms out. Chloe uses the opportunity to get closer to Nathan and invites herself along. Shari wants to make things up with Nathan, but sees him driving off with Chloe.
• Harold’s father has a heart attack and Harold flies to Taiwan.
• Tess and Colin decide to go check out the all-you-can-eat buffet at Muckleshoot. Jenna, not wanting them to be alone together, invites herself and Adam along. But then, worried that it might be construed as a double-date, she begs Elizabeth to join them.
• Chloe asks Nathan to take her on a tour of Seattle and they wind up at Muckleshoot.
• Tess and Colin have a terrific time at Muckleshoot. Jenna spends so much time trying to keep tabs with the two of them, that Adam soon realizes she’s still interested in Colin. Adam gives Jenna the ultimatum of choosing between him and Colin. He’s been in this position before with his ex-wife and refuses to go there again. He loves Jenna, but he can’t be with her if she’s going to play him against someone else.
• George is thrilled beyond belief about finally meeting his date, but he’s nervous. He asks if Kenneth with be his wing man and come along, just in case.
• Harold calls Kenneth and asks for his help. As it turns out, Harold’s father has decided to give his entire empire over to the first of his three sons who can get him a Chinese grandbaby. Harold needs to make his move on Elizabeth as soon as his plane gets in to Seattle. She said she’d be at Muckleshoot with her friends so that’s where Harold is heading.
• Kenneth meets up with George at Muckleshoot, where George is supposed to meet his internet gal, but Kenneth needs George’s help in finding Elizabeth before Harold does. There are so many Asians at Muckleshoot, they have no luck finding her or George’s internet gal. Then George has to pee and asks Kenneth to wait for his internet date while he’s gone. He hands Kenneth the Cyrano book and flowers he told his date to look for. While George is gone, Harold arrives and sees Kenneth holding the book and flowers and mistakenly thinks that Kenneth is Cyrano. Harold decides to play a mind game on Kenneth and asks if Kenneth is on a blind date and suggests that perhaps she’s stood him up. Kenneth tries to explain that it’s his friend who’s on the date but Harold doesn’t buy it. Harold goes off to find Elizabeth.
• Meanwhile, George runs into Elizabeth. He says he’s on a date and convinces Elizabeth to go with him to see if she’s arrived yet.
• Harold spots Chloe at the casino and she flirts with him. They wind up doing a quickie in the restroom and she gives him her number. He asks if she’s Chinese and is disappointed to find out she’s Korean.
• George and Elizabeth run into Harold and he tells her he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about her and wants to talk with her alone. George panics and runs off to find Kenneth. Kenneth freaks out when he learns that George left Elizabeth alone with Harold and starts to chase after them. George realizes he’s been stood up by his internet date and is devastated.
• Harold gets down on one knee and asks Elizabeth to marry him just as Tess, Jenna and Colin spot her. Elizabeth says yes, just when Kenneth and George finally find them.
